Uber Geekery - EPROM brooch

EPROM'd!
well, some of you might remember the old fella I met who gave me a few EPROM's. Well, we met again at the shop - and I bought a few more from him. Ever see two people argue about paying?
Our conversation:
me: "I'll pay you X."
Older Gentleman: "Too much! I'll take Y!"
me: "That's way too little! I will not rob you!"
OG: "How about Z?"
me: "I could not live with myself... ripping off seniors is a terrible thing!"
OG: "Okay how about Y + 1/4X?"
me: "Math??!?" (brain explodes) "Okay fine!"

of course i made him something similar to this one. He is pleased. I'm pleased too. Now I have a dozen or so... some for necklaces, some for pins. this one here is a pin/brooch.

How more geeky can you get? I'm anxious to find out.
I want to see if there is a clean way to remove the top.. so far the chisel/hammer method isn't very clean. I'll take one to my Dad's on the weekend and see if he has an idea.

As I'm slowly feeling better I'll start getting more done. Bending those pins up drives me crazy - I've yet to find a simple, fast way to do it.

It is 3.2cm long = 1.25 inches by 1.4cm = half an inch wide. Nice macro eh? take a look at it full size
