Black Peal Winged Key

Its been a while since i managed to get any of my keys posted to etsy since they sell out too quickly. I get orders for them, or sell them at the occasional show. Good news for me, but I don't have an endless supply of really special keys. I'll have to eventually make some small ones.

I chose these very solid, very detailed matte-black wings to give it flight. These wings are very sturdy and very beautiful, and hopefully the photo gives a good idea of just how wonderful they are.

In the centre of the piece hangs a steel-gray pearl set into sterling silver. The pearl is a wonderful match for the little bits of highlight showing through the darker steel of this key. I've always loved gray pearls and when I was looking for something precious to compliment this key my first thoughts turned towards pearls. The detail in the silver is a nice compliment to the rough patterned surface of the steel.
