This beautifully detailed Griffin necklace combines some of my favorite fantasy elements along with my steampunk jewelry. I've always loved griffins - the wings of an eagle, the body of a lion and the head of an eagle - since they are such magical creatures. Now I've designed this piece to reflect my childhood facination :D

The griffin is silver plated - but the garnet at the bottom is set in sterling silver. :) There's more details over here on the listing: [link]


I've finally put up some new work on Etsy. [link] but its been really really busy getting things in the post in order to ship before Xmas. whew! Most things are still in the "safe zone" for shipping from Canada = at least for the next few days.

I suspect there was a series of books about Griffins I really liked. or maybe just the concept. :D
I always had a clear vision of them :)
