Artist's Comments

I've actually called this my "quantum Flash" necklace. I made 2 of them for sale last week - there was a show - and one of them sold. Lapis is a beautiful stone - and goes well with he silver and gold-tone above as well.

I didn't get a chance to show the chain - which is a lot like the chains on my Vacuum Tube necklaces.

this tube though is the kind used for expensive cameras. i think it makes incredible jewelry.

Seems to have a sort of cyberpunk flare to it! I like cyberpunk and all too, just not the dystopianism part.

Ha! I think I'm starting to like this steampunk style, lol...it looks really cool! But..if the tube is used for cameras...how is it used? O-o I didn't even know that there were things like that in cameras...lol...

Yup! i try and write cyberpunk stuff - and certainly read enough cpunk and post-cyberpunk. Def. an influence in my work. I think i sit on the border between steam and cyber stuff. this would be a good crossover...
hm.
maybe its time to write some short stories again! :D

its a flash tube for cameras :D not sure but i believe it is used in stop motion - anyway the flash can be really controlled.... a friend of mine who is a photographer gave me a couple. Its funny how that works - i sometimes get people giving me all kinds of bits and pieces......... i felt quite lucky.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone use a tube like that before!
Nicely done, as always!

i'm hoping to have it finished this weekend and up for sale on my etsy account. This one actually already sold yesterday before I had a chance to list it. At some point I need to have time off just to get things listed.
