This is the second pendant in the steampunk planetary series available on etsy. [link] Sometimes, I like to combine my love of writing science fiction with my love of making jewelry. This is the kind of piece that makes me happy to create.

In this pendant a large wheel represents the Sun, floating in the perfectly shaped space in the base of what was a pocket watch. While the first piece was in a steel setting this pocket watch is a lovely, warm brass. The wheel - called a Main Wheel - is actually from a clock - and is very 3-dimensional. I've provided a photo that show's how the Main wheel looks from the side.

The Earth is represented by a beautiful piece of lapis lazuli. You can almost see the orbit pathway around earth...and the approach of Hailey's Comet on the right side (in the photo).

Making creative steampunk jewelry makes me a happy artist.
