in WIRED magazine.. so very excited!
There is something really amazing about these wonderful vacuum tubes. Originally they would have been used in electronics - televisions, radios etc. Once they were even used to make computers. Now, this stunning tube has been repurposed into an unusual piece of steampunk/cyberpunk jewelry. This particular tube is a bit unusual (well, more unusual) because there is still some lettering left - on the one side it says "ENGLAND" and the other says EF184. I suspect the lettering will fade though as it gets worn. Still, cool while it lasts! The bottom of the tube is a very dark silvery-brown which is also unusual.
